Walk or Cycle out to Pencarrow Lighthouse and climb up to Aotearoa's first lighthouse!

Chat with knowledgeable guides about the history, construction and stories behind this unique Poneke landmark while exploring the interior, usually restricted for public access.

Health & Safety

Please note the walk up to Pencarrow lighthouse is steep and can be muddy.

Ensure adequate footwear is worn. The weather can be changeable, bring along snacks, water and a wind jacket.
