A history of the Vella whānau and the Croatian connections with the 146 year old St. Joseph’s Church, Pāuatahanui by Robert McClean, who is a Principal Advisor for Te Rūnanga o Toa Rangatira, the mandated iwi authority for Ngāti Toa Rangatira. Our speaker will talk about the history of this place and specifically about the Vella whānau, one of the donor families.
