Susette Goldsmith, author of 'Capital Trees' is your guide to significant and meaningful trees that have shaped our capital and its arboreal legacy.
This 2-hour author-led walking tour of the CBD guides you through highlights from the new Te Papa Press book, 'Capital Trees'. The book and tour trace the living legacies of the city’s rich tree heritage, including arguments around heritage tree listing, the native versus exotics debate, biodiversity, trees as monuments and more. Starting at the Supreme Court, the tour takes in Parliament grounds, The Terrace and Plimmer Steps before ending up at Unity Books.
