Halfway House Heritage Garden Walk & Talk Guided Tour

Historic Halfway House

A guided walking tour of history and plants at the historic Halfway House garden at Glenside, halfway along the original road between Wellington and Porirua.

Discover the veges, fruit and flowers once planted by early settlers in the days when travellers along the old road to Porirua stopped for meals and accommodation at the Halfway House, the halfway mark of their journey.

Bring coins to buy heritage seeds and colourful vintage seed envelopes. Garden Centre and Café next door.
