Helpful tools for searching NZ historical records

The Wellington Branch of the NZ Society of Genealogists hosts a demonstration of online tools that make searching for your New Zealand families easier.

Luke Howison will demonstrate some of the features of Ancestor Search Helper (ASH), a free NZ genealogy search site, and also its sister-sites Archway-style Collections Search, an unofficial alternative to searching Archives NZ, and also give a tour of the Intentions to Marry Project, which features 40+ years of digitised and transcribed registers of Intentions to Marry from Archives NZ.

Health & Safety

Health and Safety instructions will be given at the beginning of the talk. In an emergency evacuation, there are two assembly points in the carpark and between the two greens. The exit to be used in the event of an emergency will be the upstairs door leading directly onto the upper carpark. The bowling club hall and buildings are smoke and vape free. The venue maintains health and safety manuals.
