Heritage Thorndon

A guided walking tour exploring New Zealand's oldest suburb.

Your journey with Walk Wellington commences at Old St Paul's (Murphy Street) and then through the Parliament precinct to Hill Street, and into Tinakori Road. We then loop around Glenbervie Terrace to continue along Tinakori Road to Bowen Street and then back to follow Ascot and Sydney Street West. We finish at Kaiwakatere (the Navigator) behind Parliament and off Bowen Street.

This walk focuses on the period of time from first peoples through the contact period and changes of the early 1800's to the Empire City of the late 1800's.
