Inverlochy Paranormal

Join members of the New Zealand Strange Occurrences Society to conduct a mini paranormal investigation of Wellington's infamous Inverlochy House.

Historic Inverlochy House is well known for its haunted history, and since 2007 has been the subject of ongoing inquiry by long standing paranormal research and investigation group, New Zealand Strange Occurrences Society.

For this tour, members from this group will guide participants on a mini paranormal investigation of Inverlochy House. You will tour the site, delve into its haunted history and use procedures shared by experienced investigators to discover conclusions of your own.

Health & Safety

Participants should note that there are two staircases to the first floor (no lift) and one of them is steep and narrow but needn't be used. Torches will be available, but you may want to bring your own. Wear soft-soled flat shoes with covered toes, not sandals or jandals.

Inverlochy Art School

Inverlochy House is a Victorian mansion designed by local architect Thomas Turnbull for a prominent local family in the late 1870s. In the early 1900s until 1980 it was divided into nine flats and known as the Inverlochy Flats. Since 1987 it has been the home of Inverlochy Art School.
