A display of aspects of our club's history: the challenges of founding a croquet club in Kelburn in 1913, information about our founding President and other notable club members, and significant events including tournament hosting.

This display will be in our clubhouse which was opened in 1924. The times for visitors to try out croquet on our lawns will be advertised on our website closer to the time.

Health & Safety

Three of the access points to our clubhouse and lawns are through car parks where vehicles may be arriving and leaving. Please use the handrails on the paths up from the car parks. There are steps up to our clubhouse and, inside, a step down to the toilet area.

Organizers may limit entry to the clubhouse to avoid overcrowding. The exit from the clubhouse is always kept clear. The displays will be organised to ensure that there can be an immediate evacuation in the case of an emergency.

Kelburn Municipal Croquet Club

Our croquet club, which is an incorporated society, was established at Kelburn Park in 1913, and provides opportunities for members of the Wellington community to enjoy playing croquet together. We have hosted many tournaments, including two international world championships. All this has only been made possible due to the dedication of club members who give freely of their time to run our club.
