Kids Scavenger Hunt along Historic Jackson Street

National Library

Have fun and learn at the same time! Go on a hunt to discover historic Jackson Street, and bring the family / whanau along with you.

A kids scavenger hunt along Jackson Street gives children a fun way to explore local history, searching for clues about the area’s shops, industries, sport, and the people who helped build the community.

As they solve each clue, kids discover how Jackson Street grew to being the heart of a lively historic neighbourhood it is today.

* FREE to enter * Start from the Old Jail Museum, 274B Jackson Street, Petone * Bring a pen * The hunt can be done anytime between 11am - 3pm * Takes approx. 45 minutes
