Join members of the iwi share local stories of performing arts including the legacy of the Māori Theatre Trust and the origins of Te Rākau Hua o Te Wao Tapu.

Ngāti Toa actor and director Jim Moriarty was a founder of the Māori theatre company Te Rākau Hua o Te Wao Tapu. The origins are with members of the Māori Theatre Trust including celebrated kaumatua Harata Horomona who encouraged Jim into acting as a young person, and gifted his theatre company with the name. Te Rākau Hua o Te Wao Tapu is one tree in the forest of human endeavor, we are connected to each other by those who have gone before and those that will come after. Listen to Jim Moriarty and others share experiences of a rich legacy of purposeful arts practice.
