Join us for a tour of the newly listed Category 1 Historic Place, The Chapel of Our Lady of Compassion and Resting Place of Meri Hōhepa Suzanne Aubert.
Three thirty minute tours will be offered over the course of each morning. Each tour will include information about the history of the building, the meanings behind the stained glass windows, and the significance of the site as an ongoing place of worship for the wider Compassion community.
Participants will have the opportunity to visit the final Resting Place of Meri Hōhepa Suzanne Aubert who founded the Sisters of Compassion, the only religious order born in Aotearoa New Zealand. Come and experience the rich history and spirituality that are embedded in these sacred places.
