Pumpkin Cottage Artists and Early Silverstream: a digital tour

Silverstream at Noon by James M Nairn, c1890s

A launch event for a new online resource linking works by Pumpkin Cottage artists to the local Silverstream environment in which they were painted.

The public launch of a new online resource linking paintings by artists associated with the Pumpkin Cottage school of en plein air impressionism with the Upper Hutt landscape they depicted in their paintings. As well as providing an introduction to this new resource, this event will include displays of some of the included works. Light refreshments will be served.

UPDATE: Unfortunately, this event has had to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. Note that the Pumpkin Cottage online resource will still be available in the future, likely early next year; keep your eyes fixed on the Upper Hutt City Libraries and Whirinaki Whare Taonga pages for updates.
