Event Host Application 2026

Looking to confirm your event for Wellington Heritage Festival 2026? You've come to the right place.

Wellington Heritage Festival 2026 runs from Saturday 24 October to Sunday 15 November.

To participate, you must complete our Event Host Application form on this page. The form will be available below before the end of March. A separate application is required for each unique event.

Key Application Deadlines

To ensure smooth delivery and promotion of the Festival, the following deadlines apply:

30 June 2026 – Brochure Deadline Applications received by 30 June will be included in:

  • The printed Festival brochure

  • The Festival website

  • Social media promotion

31 July 2026 – Final Application Deadline Applications received between 1–31 July will:

  • Appear on the Festival website

  • Be eligible for social media promotion

  • Not be included in the printed brochure

After 31 July 2026 Applications received after this date may incur a late application fee of $90 + GST and are accepted at the discretion of the Festival team.

Earlier submissions are prioritised for website visibility and promotional planning.

Before You Apply

Event Hosts are responsible for delivering and managing their own events. This includes:

  • Venue arrangements

  • Health and safety

  • Insurance (where required)

  • Ticketing and pricing

  • On-the-day event delivery

The Wellington Heritage Festival Trust acts as a regional promoter and programme coordinator.

Participation in the Festival is subject to approval by the Festival team.

Optional Featured Event Placement

Event participation in the Festival is FREE.

For organisations seeking additional promotional visibility, an optional Featured Event Placement is available for $100 + GST per event.

Featured Events receive:

  • A guaranteed dedicated social media post

  • Guaranteed inclusion in at least one Festival newsletter

  • Priority placement within selected Festival promotions
