Join historian and lover of all things spooky Amanda McVitty on this fun, enlightening journey into Wellington’s uncanny past. Enjoy drinks and nibbles while you listen to chilling tales of phantom coaches, poltergeists, haunted houses, and eerie encounters on the night-time streets of colonial Wellington. Includes a glass of bubbly and nibbles on arrival.

Amanda McVitty

Amanda McVitty is a professional historian and writer based in Wellington. She is the director of Arque Research Ltd., which specialises in historical research and heritage consulting. Amanda holds a doctorate in medieval history and taught medieval and early modern history at Massey University for a decade, before turning to researching and writing about the history of Aotearoa New Zealand. She is currently writing a book about ghosts and haunting in colonial New Zealand.
