A chance to have a look up really close at our steam and diesel locos! Look inside some of our carriages to see how people travelled before cars and planes.
The Society prides itself on its ability to accurately re-create complete trains as they used to run in the 1920s to 1960s, through the operation of its vintage wooden and steel-bodied carriages. Our volunteers will show you around the workshops and tell you about some of the major restoration projects our volunteer team are working on including steam loco Ka945, diesel loco Da1471 and Cafe Carriage AS1868.

A copy of the depot safety guidelines will be available to you on arrival, please comply. Due to the rough ground and workshop surfaces please wear robust footwear. Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and light coloured clothing is not recommended.
