Heritage Thorndon Walking Tour

Your journey with Walk Wellington focuses on the period of time from the arrival of Mana Whenua in the early 1820's through to the Empire City of the late 1800's.

Your journey with Walk Wellington commences outside Old St Paul's (Murphy St) then through Parliament's precinct to Hill St & Tinakori Rd, followed by a loop around Glenbervie Terrace to continue along Tinakori Rd to Bowen St. It then doubles back a short distance to follow Ascot St & Sydney St West to finish at the Cenotaph. This walk focuses on the period of time from the arrival of Mana Whenua in the early 1820's through to the Empire City of the late 1800's and will be about 1.5 - 2 hours

Health & Safety

The walk is on established city pathways, some sloping and some with some steps. It is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues

Please wear good shoes and dress for the weather. The tour may be cancelled in bad weather.
