Kāpiti Coast Museum - Something for Everyone

Kāpiti Coast Museum formerly the Waikanae Post Office opened 1908.

The Kāpiti Coast Museum welcomes everyone to visit our diverse and interesting range of items on display. Something for all members of the family.

A special opportunity to discover our wide range of displays and stories drawn from the social history of the Kāpiti Coast from Paekakariki to Peka Peka. Children are especially welcome to get in touch with the old and wonderful objects on show.

Health & Safety

To avoid overcrowding the number of visitors may be limited at busy times to give everyone a chance to appreciate the Museum's collection.

Kāpiti Coast Museum

The Museum will be open as usual on 7 and 8 November but will hold an event around its recently opened Home Entertainment display featuring old entertainment sources such as gramophones and valve radios. Hear the sound of entertainment over 100 years ago.
