The Cottage is celebrating its 150 birthday this year!
Come and explore the home of John and Jane Golder and their 12 children.
Take a peek into the past and marvel at the way Upper Hutt people lived before electricity and water were installed. You can see the ancient soil tiller and the lawnmower in the washhouse and view the washing paraphernalia used all day on Mondays (washing day). Faultline Lacemakers will join us again and you can try your hand at lacemaking, along with Upper Hutt Spinners & Weavers demonstrating their craft. Our stall will be out the front with home baking, jams and preserves, hand-knitted garments, plants & garden books. Hope to see you there!
Health & Safety
There is wheelchair access to the main part of the ground floor but not to the attic bedrooms. There is a booklet available with photographs of what is up there.
