The 2025 Journal has, for the first time, two bilingual articles; one outlines the history of the iwi revitalisation programme Whakatupuranga Rua Mano ǀ Generation 2000, and the other looks at the regeneration of the Mangapouri Stream. There are stories, too, about a well-known landscape designer, and of some community and sporting organisations.
Join us as we launch Volume 47 of the long-running Ōtaki Historical Journal and hear stories from some of the contributors.
This unique historical journal has been produced by the Ōtaki community since 1978, sharing local, regional, national and international stories relating to our area. Come and meet some of the contributors and gain insights into Ōtaki's unique history.
Journals will be available for $20 each.
