Soldier Stories Walk

Discover the personal stories behind Featherston’s Commonwealth war graves on a guided walk exploring the cemetery’s military history.

Join eminent historian Neil Frances for a not-to-be-missed walk exploring the history of the Featherston Cemetery and the men who lie at rest there. The cemetery contains 182 Commonwealth war graves, the bulk of them of men who died in the Featherston Military Camp from 1916 to 1919, including many deaths from the November 1918 influenza epidemic. Each tour is limited to 30 visitors.
