St Peter's - Ring the Bells
Ring the Bells - It’s easy and it’s fun! Try your skill on the historic 140-year-old bells.
Climb into the iconic spire and take a lesson from the St Peter’s Bellringers. Limited numbers permitted up the spire but everyone will get a turn.
The stained-glass windows in the church are of special interest and you can explore and read research by David Tannock in his Lights of the World booklet while you wait.
Hans de Vries who restored the chimera on the church and also the stained-glass windows during the early 90s will also be here. He has given us an original chimera and his restoration moulds and is happy to talk about his three years restoring at St Peter's Church.
Health & Safety
Final stair to the tower ringing room is steep and narrow. Please take care - children under ten must have an accompanying adult .
