Our Heritage Officer will take you on a tour of the Wellington region's only heritage shopping precinct, giving you some interesting and fun facts along the way. * Meet outside the Historic Police Station * End the walking tour viewing the Old Jail Museum ** Limited to 6 people **

This is an outdoor walk, and will involve traversing footpaths and street crossings in a busy commercial area. Registrants cautioned on the day about traffic and uneven footpaths. Please wear good shoes and dress for the weather. The tour may be cancelled if there's bad weather.

Jackson Street Programme Inc.

The Jackson Street Programme (JSP) is an independent incorporated society set up in November 1991 to support and promote the businesses along Jackson Street's heritage precinct. It also promotes the heritage of Jackson Street, and the sporting heritage of Petone. The JSP has 2 part-time staff who work out of the Historic Police Station and run the Old Jail Museum in the former lockup Monday to Friday.
