Tucked down a side street in Trentham, the Upper Hutt Blockhouse is a rare example of a building connected to the New Zealand Wars. The Upper Hutt Blockhouse is a heritage building with a steep, narrow internal staircase. It may not be accessible for visitors with mobility issues. All Heritage NZ properties are smoke and vape-free sites.
