This walking tour features entertaining and informative stories of women – settlers and Māori – who lived in Wellington and helped shape its history: the women were wives, daughters, mothers, housewives and heroines: an artist, a nurse, a teacher and a song-writer, as well as boarding house operators, shopkeepers and inspiring leaders.
This tour starts at 2.00PM from the Bolton Street Cemetery Museum, lower Bolton Street, and finishes 1.5 hours later back at the Museum.
Health & Safety
Uneven paths, walkways, and grassed areas. Certified First Aid person will attend each tour.
Please wear good shoes and dress for the weather. The tour may be cancelled in bad weather.
